UA - A very large number of Russian special RT73 callsigns (qrz.com lists 89 of them) are expected to take part in "The Inventors of the Telecommunications", a "scientific-educational radio marathon" that will be held from 16 March to 16 June. Each callsign represents a historical figure in the area of telecommunications or electronics. Reported as active so far have been RT73AM (representing Antonio Meucci), RT73AP (Aleksandr Popov), RT73CS (Carl August von Steinheil), RT73CW (Sir Charles Wheatstone), RT73EA (Edwin Armstrong), RT73EL (Emil Lenz) and RT73LL (Leonid Labutin).
