[TNX F8REF] EI - Olivier, ON4EI will be active again as EI8GQB from Fethard, Ireland (EU-115) on 2-16 July and again from 27 July to 12 August using an hybrid wind-solar power system from his caravan. F - The Association des Radioamateurs Vauclusiens will operate special event callsign TM84MV on 2-17 July during this year's Tour de France. Expect activity on the HF bands SSB, CW, Psk and RTTY, as well as on 2m EME JT65. The suffix stands for the legendary Mont Ventoux, which the cyclists will climb during the 12th stage on 14 July. KL - Yuri, N3QQ will be on a business trip to Soldotna (Alaska), and there is "a possibility he will make a side trip to either Kalgin or Fire Island (NA-158) around 8-11 July. [TNX DX World] LU - Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Indipendence of Argentina (9 July 1816), Argentine amateur radio stations are allowed to use special prefixes from 00 UTC on 9 July until 3 UTC on 11 July: LU stations can use LR, LW stations can use LV, AZ stations can use LT, Radio clubs can use LS and other institutions (e.g. Scout groups) can use AY. [TNX IOTA IT Team] KC0W'S WORLDWIDE DXPEDITION ---> Tom, KC0W has been active as 5W0COW from Samoa since 12 June [425DXN 1310] and expects to remain there until 12 July. His trip to Tokelau has been postponed, and he now plans to continue his "Worldwide DXpedition" and go to Tuvalu (19 July-18 August), Vanuatu (20 August-21 September), Western Kiribati (T30COW, 24 September-24 October), the Solomon Islands (25 October-26 November) and then back to Samoa on 27 November. He operates CW only on 160-6 metres. QSL direct only to KC0W and logsearch on Club Log. He does not use LoTW.
