HC8 - Geoff, G8OFQ will be working again as a volunteer at the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center on Isabela Island, Galapagos (SA-004) from 1 July to 30 September. KH5 - The DXpedition to Cooper Island, Palmyra Atoll (OC-085) has been confirmed to take place on 11-26 January 2016 [425DXN 1251]. A team of Twelve highly experienced operators and veterans of many DXpeditions (K0IR, K4UEE, K6MM, K9CT, K9NW, N2TU, N9TK, ND2T, W0GJ, W3OA, W8HC and WB9Z) will be active with five stations on 160-6 metres CW, SSB and digital modes, using a call sign to be announced at a later date. Most of the equipment (antennas, coax, wire, connectors, and site material) has already been purchased, tested and shipped to Palmyra. It is estimated this DXpedition will incur costs of over 200,000 USD (plus individual and personal expenses). Support has been already received from many Foundations, Clubs and individuals, but on 25 June the team reported to be "about 30,000 USD short of our need for the next payment November 1st.
