Plans were for three operators to participate in this weekend's IOTA Contest. [TNX F6AJA] G - Commemorating five decades of offshore radio broadcasting, the Martello Tower Group (http://www.martellotowergroup.com/gb5rc.html) will be active again as GB5RC on 3-7 August. They will run two stations mainly on 80, 40 and 20 metres. Activity will take place from the MV Ross Revenge, home of Radio Caroline, moored in the Blackwater estuary near Bradwell-on-Sea (Essex). QSL via GB5RC (bureau) or G6NHU (direct). G - Special event station GB17YOTA will be active during the 7th edition of Youngsters On The Air (https://www.ham-yota.com) that will take place at Gilwell Park, England on 5-12 August. QSL via operator's instructions. G - GB8YA will be a "Youngsters Activity" event to be run during the same week as the YOTA camp (5-12 August). This event has no direct connection to the Youngsters On The Air programme, but is "to allow young people who are not able to go to YOTA camp this year a chance to get on air". QSL via LoTW and logsearch on Club Log. Paper QSLs will not be issued, unless there is a "reasonable demand". GJ - Paul, G4PVM will be active holiday style as GJ4PVM from Jersey (EU-013) on 5-11 August.QSL via LoTW and eQSL only; he will upload his log to Club Log for IOTA credit, but he does not plan to have any QSL cards printed. HC8 - Geoff, G8OFQ will be working again as a volunteer at the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center on Isla Isabela, Galapagos (SA-004) between 1 August and 31 October. Lors du dernier vide-greniers, deux radioamateurs meusiens passionnés ont présenté leur vélo radio au public. Retour sur l’ancêtre du mobile. a.. Le 27/07/2017 Le vélo radio 1917, un alternateur d’avion entraîné par la roue d’une bicyclette livre du courant permettant de faire fonctionner la première station ER. Sur le vide-greniers de l’association Vie et Tradition, un stand de radioamateurs a attiré nombre de visiteurs. Questions à son président Jean-Claude Munier, accompagné d’Alain Bacquias. Comment devient-on radioamateur ? Pour Jean-Claude Munier : « A l’école primaire j’avais un copain dont le père était radioamateur, je suis tombé dedans. J’ai dû l’interrompre pour mon activité professionnelle, puis j’ai renoué à la retraite ». Pour Alain Bacquias : « J’ai été incorporé à l’armée dans les transmissions. J’ai aussi abandonné et repris à l’heure de la retraite ». Mais pour tous deux : « C’est une passion avec tout ce que cela comporte ». Pouvez-vous nous faire un bref historique ? C’est à Rudolph Hertz qui a démontré qu’on était capable d’envoyer des messages dans l’air, que l’on doit l’utilisation de la lumière comme onde. Le capitaine Gustave Ferrié sorti de Polytechnique invente en 1903 le détecteur électronique. En 1904 sa première réalisation est la station de la Tour Eiffel où il fait installer un émetteur et une antenne de grande dimension et commence quelques essais de transmission. À partir de 1906, un réseau radiotélégraphique est opérationnel entre la Tour Eiffel et les grandes places de l’Est. À la suite le commandant Camille Tissot sera missionné pour la création du service de transmission de l’heure par TSF à la Tour Eiffel, donc l’heure de Paris. Être radioamateur c’est quoi ? C’est déjà une formation à l’examen radioamateur, la règlementation, la technique. Le monde des radioamateurs est un circuit de convivialité international, Après la création d’une association en 1925 des évolutions sont intervenues pour arriver aujourd’hui à l’utilisation du smartphone largement employé. Et le vélo 1917 ? Le vélo radio Schvartz a permis de fabriquer de l’électricité grâce à un alternateur entraîné par la roue et ainsi livrer du courant à étincelles à arc chantant. Quel est votre rôle à ce jour ? Depuis 2014 et jusqu’en 2020 nous participons à la commémoration du centenaire 14/18 par radio transmission, d’être le plus possible présents. Aujourd’hui, nous avons eu 125 contacts radios, de France, Belgique, Allemagne, Italie, Hollande, Angleterre, Suisse, Espagne, Autriche, Pologne, Russie, Danemark, Serbie et 69 visiteurs. Il a longtemps été utilisé pour la transmission de messages rapides longue distance. Il est principalement utilisé par les militaires comme moyen de transmission, souvent chiffrée, ainsi que dans le civil et maritime, par les scouts, les radioamateurs, etc.
