They will participate in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest as 6Y4T. Before and after the contest they will operate CW and FT8 also on 60 metres and the WARC bands. The primary purpose of this trip is to conduct training classes for young entrepreneurs wanting to start their own small business. [TNX The Daily DX] P4 - Ulf, DL5AXX has been active holiday style as P40EU from Aruba (SA-036) since 12 October, and will remain there until the 23rd. Main activity will be during the CQ WW DX SSB Contest; before and after the contest he will operate some CW and be QRV on 160, 30, 17 and 12 metres. QSL via LoTW or direct only to N2MM. [TNX NG3K] S2 - Activity from Bhola Island (AS-140) [425DXN 1371] started as S21ED and S21TV on 11 October, earlier than planned. The operators switched to S21ZDC on 13 October. They are mostly QRV from 00.00 UTC to 15 UTC, as during their dark hours they are plagued with a QRM they are unable to locate the source of. They will be QRV from AS-140 throughout 18 October and will "tear down everything" sometime on the 19th. Initial plans were to continue the expedition and be active from St Martin's Island (AS-127) on 21-25 October. Dates are subject to variation depending on local conditions. All QSL card requests for AS-140 should go to G3KHZ - this includes QSOs with S21ED, S21TV and S21ZDC. T2 - 3D2AG, Tony will be active as T2AR from Funafuti, Tuvalu (OC-015) on 21-28 October. In his free time he will operate SSB, CW and digital modes (RTTY, JT65, FT8) on the HF bands as well as on 6 and 2 metres. VE - Pierre, VE3KTB and Alex, VE1RUS will be active again as VY0ERC most likely from 17 October to 10 November. This is the Eureka Amateur Radio Club station located in the environs of the weather station on Ellesmere Island (NA-008). They will be QRV as time permits, and will try to be active during the CQ WW DX SSB Contest. QSL via M0OXO's OQRS. [TNX M0OXO] VU7 - VU7T has been active from Kavaratti, Lakshadweep Islands (AS-011) since 11 October. The operators (Manoj VU2CPL, San VU2WH/A45TT, Sid VU3NXI, Gopan VU3HPF/M0XUU and Kiran VU2XE, plus A65DR/VU3TQR "as remote support and coordinator") will remain there until 20 October and be QRV on 80-10 metres SSB, CW and digital modes with up to three stations. Demain à partir de 14 heures, les radioamateurs du club montréjeaulais présentent leurs activités à l'occasion des traditionnelles portes ouvertes. En attendant cet évènement les amis radioamateurs proposent de faire connaissance. Alors que les messageries instantanées, appels vidéos et autres types de communications modernes font partie du quotidien, une dizaine d'irréductibles communique à l'autre bout du monde avec du matériel radio. Installés à Montréjeau près de la salle des fêtes dans un local équipé de matériel électronique, les radioamateurs sont attentifs aux messages reçus des quatre coins du monde. À l'heure d'Internet, ces passionnés continuent de communiquer avec le monde entier à l'aide d'appareils radio parfois conçus et mis au point par leur soin. Un certificat obligatoire Comme eux, une centaine de radioamateurs (OM) se retrouve régulièrement au sein du club des Radio Emetteurs Français de la Haute-Garonne (REF31). Comment devenir radioamateur ? Il faut être titulaire du certificat d'opérateur des services d'amateur, licence obligatoire délivrée par le ministère de la Défense à l'issue d'un examen. Le radio club dispense l'aide nécessaire aux personnes volontaires pour passer la licence qui leur permettra d'accéder à ce monde merveilleux du radio amateurisme. Au sein du club sont offerts également les moyens matériels de pratiquer la radio. Vous y trouverez, bien souvent, le matériel de mesure parfois inaccessible aux particuliers et, en plus, les techniciens les plus experts. Aides et conseils vous permettront de mettre au point plus facilement vos montages personnels en toute convivialité. «L'émission d'amateur est une activité scientifique qui permet, à ceux qui la pratiquent, d'établir des liaisons hertziennes (radio) avec les radioamateurs du monde entier. Elle permet d'acquérir des connaissances techniques dans les domaines de la radio et de l'électronique et de développer des liens d'amitié entre amateurs de différents pays, cela s'appelle l'esprit radioamateur», précise José Yague radioamateur de Montréjeau. Cette année, la Fête de la science se tiendra dans la salle Cramoysan, place de la Mairie Samedi 14 octobre, en épilogue à la Fête de la science, le radio club d’Étretat F4KJL, en collaboration avec la Société havraise de TSF et le radio club Les Alizées de Fécamp, propose une journée autour du thème « Être radioamateur au XXIe siècle ». Des expérimentations de visualisation en temps réel et des ateliers de transmission numérique seront proposés autour d’expositions de matériels anciens et contemporains. À 15 h, Patrick Gueulle, ingénieur radio électronicien et écrivain scientifique, emmènera les visiteurs pour une « petite promenade submicronique » (projection commentée de photos de puces prises au microscope). Et à 16 h, Pierre-Antoine Dumarquez, ingénieur DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement), présentera la « naissance de la SHTSF (Société Havraise de la Téléphonie Sans Fil) ». Le réseau Hamnet, comparable au réseau Internet mais réservé à l’usage des radioamateurs, fera l’objet d’exposés et de démonstrations : transmissions d’urgence, techniques de dépannage.... Visualisation sur écran et explications. - Présentation d'une radio-sonde météo avec sur écran les données de pression, température, humidité, etc... - Rappel sur les contacts ARISS et mode DATV diffusé par ISS. - Atelier morse pour les plus jeunes de 7 à 77 ans.
